Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinates with management to maintain administer and enforce company-wide safety policies and procedures
- Ensure company compliance with federal and state safety and environmental regulations
- Provide technical safety and health support to production and office personnel
- Maintain corporate safety and health programs and assess and recommend areas of improvement
- Serve as the primary contact with all federal and state environmental agencies
- Coordinate and facilitate regulatory inspections
- Track and renew permits and safety training schedules
Position Requirements
- Ability to drive to and from several Southern California company locations
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce and management
- Possess experience in safety practices by working in relevant field or industry
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Associates Degree preferred
- Ability to earn safety certifications and industry-specific fundamentals
- Strong computer skills (MS Office / Outlook)
- Ability to work under pressure and make strong decisions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual a plus but not necessary
Prior experience with most of the following preferred:
- CALOSHA
- CARB
- SCAQMD
- EPA
- Fire Departments
- Regional Water Quality
