As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Detail in Santa Monica CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location you will conduct routine foot patrols maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and support access control and visitor activity as needed. You will document observations communicate clearly with tenants and property staff and respond to concerns with professionalism. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants visitors and vendors by carrying out Allied Universal procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the commercial property including interior common areas exterior perimeter and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned verifying credentials directing foot traffic and reporting unauthorized entry attempts in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with property management and public responders as needed.
• Complete security-related reports such as patrol logs incident reports and shift activity documentation and communicate noteworthy conditions during post and shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Having CPR certification is preferred.
• Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
