Prioritized Must Have Skills for the CMM Programmer:
#1. Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
#2. 3 years of CMM programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
#3. Proficiency with CMM programming software such as PC-DMIS Calypso or similar platforms.
#4. Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and engineering drawings.
#5. Experience inspecting machined or cast components in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities of the CMM Programmer:
- Develop and optimize CMM programs used to inspect aluminum castings and machined components.
- Interpret engineering drawings GD&T requirements and 3D CAD models.
- Perform First Article Inspections and capability studies.
- Analyze dimensional inspection results and provide feedback to manufacturing and engineering teams.
- Support root cause investigations related to dimensional nonconformance.
- Generate and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and customer requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality processes.
Requirements of the CMM Programmer:
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or related discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of CMM programming experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with dimensional inspection and measurement systems.
- Proficiency using CMM software such as PC-DMIS Calypso or similar platforms.
- Strong GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5).
- Experience with SPC dimensional analysis and quality documentation.
Preferred Experience of the CMM Programmer:
- Inspection of complex cast geometries including draft angles thin walls and critical datums.
- Understanding of casting tolerances shrink factors and distortion.
- Experience aligning cast-to-machine datums.
- Knowledge of surface finish considerations during probing and inspection.
Other Key Requirements:
- 100% onsite
- No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
