About the Role:

We re seeking an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer to lead engineering operations and planning for our IBM z/OS environment. This role involves ensuring system performance reliability and scalability while supporting critical infrastructure storage and disaster recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the subject matter expert for IBM mainframe and z/OS.
Install configure and maintain z/OS and third-party tools (CA BMC Endevor TopSecret etc.).
Perform CICS administration system tuning and capacity planning.
Manage mainframe storage tape systems and DR planning/testing.
Support system upgrades patches and performance optimization.
Collaborate with IT leadership on modernization initiatives (Linux cloud readiness).
Ensure security compliance and best practices across mainframe systems.

Qualifications:

10 years as a Mainframe Systems Programmer in large-scale environments.
Expertise in IBM z/OS CICS storage/tape management and mainframe hardware.
Strong experience with system upgrades DR and capacity planning.
Familiarity with IDMS security tools and workload management.
Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure projects and provide technical leadership.
