Job Summary

Essential Job Duties:

Performs machining by studying work orders blueprints materials specifications and machining parameters interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Verifies settings by measuring positions first-run part and sample workpieces
Maintains specifications by observing and taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance and processes.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.
Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education/Technical Skills

Associates degree (A.A.) preferred
Should be proficient with CNC controls and manually operated milling equipment.
Must possess strong knowledge of machines and tools with regard to safety use and repair.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work as a team
Ability to use measuring equipment
Ability to operate machinery
1-3 years of work-related experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
