Sr. SSD Application Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SSD Applications Engineer to play a critical role in driving next-generation enterprise and data center storage solutions. This position sits at the intersection of firmware engineering hardware collaboration and customer engagement.
You will lead front-end firmware development resolve complex host interface challenges and work directly with strategic customers to ensure successful product design-in and deployment. This role offers the opportunity to influence controller and firmware architecture while shaping future product definitions based on real-world customer insights.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop front-end firmware features to meet product specifications and customer requirements.
- Develop and enhance SSD firmware aligned with PCIe and NVMe protocols.
- Debug host interface issues during internal validation and customer qualification.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective firmware solutions.
- Collaborate closely with hardware design teams to resolve complex integration issues.
- Manage SSD debug and qualification activities in partnership with engineering teams and customers.
- Drive technical design-in and design-win initiatives in enterprise and data center environments.
- Act as a technical advisor in customer meetings presentations and program reviews.
- Advocate customer technical needs internally and drive cross-functional execution.
- Shape future controller and firmware roadmaps based on customer feedback and field learnings.
- Enable ecosystem adoption by supporting tools platform integration and solution positioning.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in each of the following areas:
- Software/Firmware Applications Engineering
- SSD controller and firmware architecture
- PCIe and NVMe protocol development and debugging (host reset power management namespaces MSI-X SMBus ARP NVMe commands etc.)
- PCIe protocol trace analysis and front-end issue root cause identification
