Field Application Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a customer-focused Field Application Engineer to support next-generation Solid State Drive (SSD) controller solutions for strategic accounts. This role sits at the critical intersection of engineering and customer engagement where technical depth meets relationship management.

As the primary technical interface for assigned customers you will lead project coordination drive issue resolution and collaborate closely with firmware ASIC and system engineering teams. You will play a key role in enabling successful product design-in qualification and deployment while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Manage technical relationships and support product discussions debugging activities and project tracking.
  • Own first-level technical support including failure analysis issue triage JIRA tracking and closure.
  • Drive project monitoring and ensure alignment between customers and internal engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with firmware system and ASIC engineers to resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Work independently across cross-functional departments to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Build strong trusted relationships with customer technical stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of field support experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong verbal written and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of system hardware design.
  • Working knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical discussions and document clear summaries and action items.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for building client relationships.
  • Familiarity with PC system architecture.
  • Experience working within Windows and Linux operating system environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SSD system debugging and SSD firmware.
  • Knowledge of NAND Flash memory architecture.
  • Familiarity with SATA PCIe and NVMe standards.

Compensation:

Estimated base pay range (USD):
$140000 $180000 per annum

Starting compensation will be determined based on experience qualifications location and market conditions. Compensation ranges may be adjusted based on business needs and market dynamics.
