Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
-
Fabricate and install covers flat panels and curtains using design drawings and aircraft specifications
-
Sew simple covers and upholstery components as required
-
Work with fabric vinyl leather composites and other interior materials using approved adhesives sewing equipment hardware hand tools and power tools
-
Cut and serge carpets cover bulkheads and install interior panels
-
Fabricate or assist in fabricating metal and interior components including headliners sidewalls hatch panels and window panels
-
Use material tracking systems to manage parts demand track discrepancies and complete work sign-offs
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles
-
Work with senior technicians to improve safety reduce cost and improve production efficiency
-
Follow safety 5S and housekeeping standards; use personal protective equipment as required
-
Identify and address unsafe working conditions
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines sergers and/or upholstery and carpet trade hand tools
-
Aerospace industry experience preferred
-
Ability to read write speak and understand English
-
Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents
-
Basic ability to use measuring tools and perform simple math calculations
-
Computer literacy required
-
Ability to climb ladders and stairs work in confined spaces and lift up to 40 lbs
-
Ability to work any shift
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
