Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the near future for this position. 1st shift 40 hours per week 6am-2:30pm - OT hours may be requested by client No travel required Metatarsal safety boots are required on their first day Key Responsibilities 1. Quality Assurance Support quality activities in fabrication in the Skid Steer boom main frame and pre-paint operations to ensure adherence to standard work and safety protocols. Perform in process quality checks and audits according to established guidelines. Document non conformances and initiate containment steps when defects are discovered. Coordinate with the Quality team to manage suspect material and ensure proper disposition. Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards weld requirements and inspection criteria. Work with inspectors and welders to identify repeat quality issues and drive resolution. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Weld Engineering Mechanical Engineering Quality Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience in a manufacturing environment-preferably fabrication or welding. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and find root cause. Working knowledge of quality systems inspection criteria and non conformance documentation. Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working closely with operators skilled trades and engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with welding processes fixtures jigs and fabrication tooling. Familiarity with continuous improvement tools (Lean 5S ergonomic assessments etc.). Experience working in a union environment Work Environment On site role on 1st shift supporting active production areas. Hours may vary based on operational needs including occasional flexibility to arrive earlier or stay later to support shift handoff. Requires frequent presence on the shop floor including around welding fabrication and automated equipment. PPE required per area standards. |
