Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed K9 Clearance Required in Washington DC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. You will document observations support access control practices and deliver customer-focused communication while working as part of a reliable agile team that leads with integrity and a caring culture. What Youll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients employees and visitors by following post orders site-specific policies and/or emergency response procedures for a technology-focused location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies applicable licensing requirements and site procedures including proper handling and secure storage as directed.
  • Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner completing timely notifications detailed reports and evidence preservation consistent with site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout interior areas building entrances parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying credentials monitoring visitor activity and supporting screening and/or badging processes as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Have a current armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
