Job Title: Shipping Material Handler

Department: Shipping

Summary:

Performs shipping duties including preparing verifying and processing outgoing shipments while ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Perform shipping duties related to preparing and processing outgoing products.
Ensure all shipments are properly documented and prepared for delivery.
Maintain organization and accuracy of shipping paperwork and materials.
Follow company safety procedures and ensure proper use of required PPE.
Communicate with supervisors and other departments as needed to ensure shipping priorities are met.
Load and unload trucks.

Education and/or Experience:

Related experience in shipping warehouse operations or a similar environment is preferred; however on-the-job training may be provided. Basic computer skills are required for completing shipping documentation and related tasks.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk and use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop kneel or crouch.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
