Job Summary

  • Please prioritize these two openings. The hiring manager will move quickly and prefers candidates who can start asap.
  • These two positions are fully remote but need to work PST hours.
  • They re looking for full stack development experience with modern frontend frameworks like React or Vue or experience developing APIs backed by databases like DynamoDB S3 Elasticsearch.
  • Prior experience in innovation sport science not needed but would help significantly with ramp up time.
  • Roles will be supporting seasonal workload; extension(s) not likely
  • Degree preferred not a hard requirement
  • 5 years experience minimum required in a software engineering role
  • Top must-have skills include the following:
    • Team is ideally looking for 1 frontend engineer and 1 backend engineer: for backend those candidates must have experience pulling data from a database; for frontend experience with React or Vue will be necessary as well as NodeJS
    • Production web development experience will be required
    • Candidates must have track record of checking their own work (i.e. building testing deploying and supporting)
  • Candidates with previous experience working on the Innovation app (JTL) or prior Nike experience will be highly prioritized for shortlisting
  • ETWs will support iterating and building on the app that the team already has in place; will also redesign the look and feel of the app adding a few smaller features
  • Resources can also expect to support internal facing tools for researchers
  • ETWs will work directly with 6-8 others
  • HM anticipates 1 round of interviews due to quick ramp up/shorter duration
  • Candidates who can start immediately will be preferred

SUMMARY

Assesses a well-defined problem and leads the development of a technical solution that meets the needs of the business and aligns with architectural standards. Manages small- to moderate-sized solutions or plays a key role on larger teams working within the parameters of two to three sprints. Provides direction to team members and/or vendors. Advises product owners on discrete technology-related business problems; formulates options including assessing their relative merits and risks; and works with product owners to determine the best solution.
