Job Title: Inspector - Fabrication/Assembly I3 (M13AI3)
Location: Wichita KS
Duration: 6 months Contract
Pay Rate : $44 Hourly

Duties:
3-5 years experience desired (willing to look at someone with 2 years with solid relative work experience)
Possess the skills/knowledge to perform in one or more of the following classifications: Systems/Payload Structures Mechanic Assembly Mechanic A Fuselage Assembly Mechanic A Underwing Composites Mechanic A Metals Mechanic A Process Mechanic A3.
Ability to certify for Systems inspection function.
Assist in training as applicable to job roles
Ability to investigate and document Root Cause analysis and Corrective action (non-disciplinary)
Determine and submit test and investigation statements
Perform process and hardware audits and surveillances Perform all functions associated with Level B requirements
All inspectors regardless of direct or contract must obtain their stamp within a certain amount of days after their training. That is discussed during the initial training classes. See the written and practical testing information below:
Here is a list of the testing QA contractors are required to pass:
Assy. Sealing (written and practical)
Post Assy. Sealing (written and practical)
Electrical Bond and Ground All Meters (written)
Electrical Bond Final Inspection (written and practical)
Precision Measuring Tools (written and practical)
Skin Quality Inspection (written)
In addition they have classes that are given to them that they are tested on and must pass:
Researching and Creating an NCR in MES
Solid Rivet Inspection
Blind Fastener Inspection
Hex-Drive Bolt Inspection
Lockbolt Inspection
Bolt and Nut Inspection
Fastener Inspection on Composites
Skills:
Composite Fab & Composite Structure employees in 787
It is not a rework project; they need help to get some issues resolved
Cleanroom work and some Structure work
(Cleanroom is where they start process of doing the barrels) and structure work is after the cleanroom
