Job Summary

Associate Field Service Engineer

Duration: Long Term contract

Location: Auburn Hills MI

Shift: If the candidate is not on a service call then the hours at one of our local facilities would be 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Weekends / Overtime: With that said there is no set time for service calls. It would be whenever the robots at the customer site are available. This would include off shift hours weekends and holidays.

Experience:
-Previous experience servicing industrial robots controllers and peripheral equipment preferred
-Robotics integration installation or field service experience preferred
-Experience with robot programming and application software preferred

Education:
Associates Degree in Applied Science or equivalent technical education preferred.

Minimum Requirements:
-Experience troubleshooting industrial robotic systems and electrical control devices
-Ability to interpret electrical mechanical and pneumatic prints
-Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic (preferred)
-Experience with robot programming and path editing
-Strong technical writing and documentation skills (service reports failure documentation)
-Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel)
-Ability to work independently at customer sites with minimal supervision
-Ability to direct or coordinate activities of other personnel on-site
-Ability to lift 50 70 lbs
-Ability to work in industrial environments (standing for extended periods working in confined or elevated spaces)
-Willingness and ability to travel extensively (80%) including nights weekends holidays and overtime
-Valid drivers license with no restrictions and own reliable transportation (must own vehicle cannot rely on public transportation)
-Must be 21 years old due car rentals and hotel days.
-Must have good credit and ability to obtain credit card up to $2000 limit.
