Full Time Security Officer (Cultural Property)

Schedule:

• Thu: 9:30 AM8:15 PM
• Fri & Sat: 9:30 AM5:15 PM
• Sun: 10:15 AM5:15 PM

Total of 31 hours per week

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Security Officer to support an artistic environment by ensuring safety security and exceptional customer service. The Security Officer plays a key role in maintaining a safe secure and welcoming environment. This position requires attention to detail excellent observation skills and the ability to interact professionally with visitors staff and colleagues.

The ideal candidate is dependable customerservice oriented and able to respond effectively to incidents or emergencies as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular tours of assigned areas (requires extensive walking stairs and elevator use)
• Perform fire door checks at start and end of shift
• Maintain and secure assigned access keys
• Clear and inspect stairwells and bathrooms at end of shift
• Report abnormalities safety issues or incidents to main control
• Assist with emergencies and follow established response procedures

Requirements:

• Ability to walk/stand for long periods and navigate stairs

• Strong observation and communication skills

• Professional dependable and customerservice oriented

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut State Guard Card

• Active Connecticut State Drivers License - Reliable transportation & Clean Motor Vehicle History

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1 year of Security Experience required- Military/ Law Enforcement experience may substitute

• Calm polite and professional demeanor.

• Reliable and self-motivated.
