Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager youll own projects from concept through startup applying disciplined project delivery while providing handson technical expertise that directly supports plant reliability safety and production goals.What Youll DoLead Projects from Idea to Execution- Serve as Project Engineer for capital and expense projects of varying size and complexity using a structured Project Delivery Process.
- Define project scope develop justification and economic analysis build schedules and drive execution through completion.
Be a Champion for Safety- Promote a proactive safety culture and personally support the plant goal of zero injuries.
- Partner closely with Environmental Health & Safety teams to ensure projects meet all safety and compliance expectations.
Collaborate Across the Plant- Coordinate integrated project teams that may include Operations Maintenance Environmental Safety Plant Management and Product Line stakeholders.
- Work with plant organizations to identify opportunities evaluate alternatives and deliver practical valuedriven solutions.
Deliver Technical Expertise- Provide electrical and instrumentation design support as needed including equipment selection and procurement of engineering services.
- Support construction management activities and plant startups to ensure safe successful project handover.
Drive Visibility and Accountability- Open manage and close projects in SAP providing regular progress updates and cost forecasts to management.
- Present key projects and status updates to Plant Management with clarity and confidence.
What Were Looking ForExperience & Technical Strength- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Engineering within a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in instrumentation and electrical systems including design construction and plant operations.
- Deep understanding of chemical plant equipment processes and overall operations.
Education- Engineering degree preferred.
- In lieu of a degree 15 years of experience in construction and design of Instrumentation & Electrical systems in petrochemical facilities will be considered.
Collaboration & Communication- Proven ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a reputation for building positive working relationships and supporting colleagues.
