The Residential Registered Nurse oversees the day-to-day operations of the Residential staff and ensures quality of care throughout Residential. They carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: staff direction and development direct care and medication delegation quality assurance and improvement and DHS 13 83 88 and chapter 50 & 51 compliance. They will also assist in Clarity Cares Occupational Health Department
Essential Functions and Desired Outcomes
- Delegate and monitor medication responsibilities to Residential staff in compliance with DHS 83 & DHS 88 to ensure Member health
- In collaboration with Residential Management assess the medical needs of Residential Members upon admission and readmission from hospital/skilled nursing facility and change in medical condition.
- Assist with Members Plan of Care in accordance with the Members needs as directed by physician(s) and Clarity Care policy.
- Provide quality Nursing services to Clarity Care clients
- Teach classes to Clarity Care employees
- Assist in planning developing implementing coordinating and evaluating home care and residential services provided to clients.
- Evaluate the need for services and make referrals to other services as appropriate.
- Secure written orders from the clients physician.
- Develop a plan of care for the client giving full consideration to the clients preferences for service arrangements.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a registered nurse under s.441.06 Wis. Stats.
- Training and experience in the provision of personal care services or in a related program.
- Undergo successful orientation and participate in competency-based assessments of skills on a regular basis as required by state law.
