Operations Lead Engineer
Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Lead and be accountable for the day to day operations and maintenance of large scale chilled water systems serving commercial buildings and manufacturing plants including associated field works.
- Act as the primary customer facing representative for all operational maintenance and service related matters.
- Own operational performance ensuring system availability reliability and service delivery targets are achieved.
- Implement monitor and continuously improve service and maintenance programmes for chilled water and associated HVAC systems.
- Lead analysis and optimisation of maintenance strategies and execution to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Arrange coordinate and supervise all maintenance activities including works carried out by externally sourced contractors.
- Manage and control maintenance contracts including contractor performance compliance and safety.
- Plan assign release and manage work orders ensuring timely execution and closure.
- Lead routine inspections of plant rooms equipment and airside systems to identify rectify and prevent operational and maintenance issues.
- Lead and coordinate instrument calibration and control troubleshooting activities.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with approved standards procedures and work methods.
- Plan and implement facility enhancement and improvement works in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all maintenance records reports and documentation are properly maintained for tracking audit and compliance purposes.
- Oversee and control spare parts tools and consumables inventory and approve procurement when required.
- Administer control and enforce the Permit To Work (PTW) system.
- Lead site safety performance ensuring all activities comply with company policies procedures and applicable government legislation.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety requirements including Machine Guarding Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Permit to Work Work at Height Hot Work and hazardous area classification.
- Lead and guide technicians and contractors during operational and maintenance activities.
- Escalate critical operational safety and service issues to management as required.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent
- 6-10 years relevant working experience in operations & maintenance of large scale chilled water systems in commercial or industrial/manufacturing environment
- Strongknowledge of PTW systems HVAC operations and site safety management.
