As a Technology Support II at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support market data systems to ensure optimal availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to market data feeds applications and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address and resolve data discrepancies and outages.
- Maintain and update market data configurations entitlements and permissions.
- Assist in onboarding new data sources and integrating market data into various platforms.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on market data tools and applications.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation for market data processes procedures and support activities.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in market data technologies and services.
- Participate in projects related to market data enhancements and system upgrades.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience in market data support or a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as UNIX/Shell scripting and Python.
- Strong understanding of financial markets instruments and market data products.
- Proficiency in market data platforms such as Bloomberg Reuters or similar.
- Experience with market data technologies (e.g. RMDS/TREP DACS entitlements Bloomberg BPIPE Solace).
- Experience with Linux (RedHat) system administration and knowledge of storage filesystems.
- Experience using monitoring and forensic tools (e.g. ITRS Geneos Splunk Kibana Galvanometer).
- Understanding of network technologies including IP (TCP/UDP/MCAST) switch and routing topologies.
- Familiarity with data feed technologies and protocols (e.g. FIX API) and market data feeds/content (direct exchange and aggregated).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms particularly AWS.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
