An established peer-review and compliance organization is seeking a candidate with experience in billing and coding with a claims background for aClaims Specialist - Licensed Practical Nurse role. The position supports independent dispute resolutions through CMS (Center for Medicaid Services).Experience with multispecialty coding and billing is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

Job qualifications & certifications:

Active NY LPN license
Coding certification or experience
Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT preferred

Skills:

Strong attention to detail
Clinical understanding of medical terminology
Good communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Review documentation for completeness
Support coding team with clinical clarification
Assist in audits and quality improvement
Follow up with providers for needed information
