PTS is looking for a mid level field engineer / technician with strong experience working on-site with power distribution equipment up to 480VAC. This position plays a key role in the testing maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment within manufacturing and industrial settings.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work directly with clients to understand project requirements and communicate technical information clearly.
- Provideon-site technical oversight and coordinate field activities during installation commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Support the implementation of engineering designs and assist with resolving field issues.
- Oversee equipmentinstallation testing maintenance and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate and provide direction to contractors technicians and other on-site personnel.
- Performfield walk-downs to gather information on existing systems and support development of as-built electrical and instrumentation documentation.
- Participate infactory acceptance testing (FAT) for electrical and power distribution systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering leads to ensure project quality schedule adherence and cost control.
- Provide status updates and documentation related to project progress issues and potential change orders.
- Travel up toapproximately 75% including air travel to support project sites.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering with3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Strong communication documentation and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge ofelectrical systems and power equipment up to 480 VAC.
- Ability to read and interpretelectrical schematics wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
- Experience evaluating installed systems to ensure alignment with approved electrical designs.
- Proven troubleshooting ability for electrical and control system issues.
- Solid understanding ofpanel wiring and field wiring diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge ofelectrical safety standards and codes including **National Fire Protection Association standards such asNFPA 70 National Electrical Code andNFPA 70E.
