As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Government Sitein Rockford IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents support access control and respond to requests with clear professional communication. This is a driving post so you will use a vehicle to cover assigned areas and complete detailed reports. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor entrances and common areas assist with access control and visitor processing and help to deter unauthorized entry loitering and/or prohibited activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating notifications with site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Document security-related activities incidents and observations in written reports and logs and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
