As a Security Officer - Patrol (21) in Washington DC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions and more. You will greet visitors and staff provide clear communication and respond to concerns with professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors staff and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of galleries exhibit areas offices loading areas and perimeter routes noting unusual activity hazards and/or policy concerns and reporting findings per post orders.
- Monitor access points and interior spaces to help maintain orderly entry support visitor flow during peak periods and/or special events and assist with directing individuals to approved areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical calls disturbances lost children and/or suspicious activity and document actions taken in written reports.
- Observe alarms cameras and/or other systems when assigned communicate by radio and/or phone with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership and support incident documentation and shift turnover briefings.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
