As a Security Officer - Municipal Site Patrol Weekdays in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a high-visibility government transportation location you will monitor assigned areas conduct routine foot patrols and stay present to help to deter security-related incidents. You will report concerns assist riders and staff with clear communication and support a smooth daily operation. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout platforms mezzanines entrances corridors and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards maintenance issues and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents alarms and requests for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site personnel and public responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas help manage crowd flow during peak periods and/or service disruptions and assist with wayfinding and customer inquiries.
• Document patrol activity incidents and observations in written reports and logs and communicate timely updates to supervisors and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a New York State Security Guard License.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
