Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Kountze TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location supporting access control and security-related operations. You will greet employees and visitors verify identification manage entry logs monitor alarms and cameras and conduct routine patrols to help identify irregular activity. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in the job state. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification issuing visitor credentials managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs and directing visitors to authorized areas.
- Screen and/or monitor incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian traffic as required including coordinating with site contacts for deliveries contractors and scheduled appointments to help to deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications documenting events and supporting evacuations and/or shelter-in-place actions per site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business processing areas and perimeter observing for irregular activity and/or hazards and promptly reporting concerns through approved channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
