- Providing legal guidance and support for new projects in the transportation logistics and supply chain operations spaces
- Drafting and assisting the business to negotiate complex commercial agreements
- Legal research on commercial and regulatory legal issues
- Providing regulatory guidance on issues in the transportation and logistics space
- Creating and implementing legal simplification efforts to streamline legal review processes
A day in the life
The role involves working directly with business units and cross-functional teams across AWS and other parts of Amazon. The successful candidate will provide strategic input on legal and business decisions navigate complex regulatory environments and develop problem solving solutions. This position plays a crucial role in supporting AWS globally and requires a talented and motivated individual capable of managing a broad range of matters in a rapidly evolving business landscape.
About the team
This role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to join a collaborative tight-knit team that is leading exciting and pioneering global initiatives as part of a business that is making history. Some travel domestic and international will be required.
- 2 years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication
- Experience in transactional work including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience working proactively and independently meeting deadlines and delivering on projects and tasks
- Experience in Global Logistics Law
- Experience analyzing and reviewing statutes regulations and case law and then extracting data to make appropriate recommendations
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines or experience in a fast-paced high-tech company
- Ability to provide practical and business-oriented legal advice in a fast-paced environment even in ambiguous situations

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
