About the job:

At the NCIA Command and Control (C2) Centre were delivering secure innovative coherent cost effective and interoperable communications and information systems solutions to enable command & control of NATO forces where and when required. You will be joining our small but ambitious team of friendly and supportive colleagues at Enablement and Logistics designing scalable secure and high-performance systems that meet the operational needs of the NATO community.

Based in The Hague Netherlands - we are now seeking to appoint a Solution Support Engineer - Joint Command and Control (C2) to join the Joint Command and Control domain within the NCIA Command and Control (C2) Centre.

Solution Support Engineers are responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients and internal teams in the implementation and maintenance of software solutions. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues assisting with product configurations and ensuring that solutions are functioning optimally. Solution Support Engineers collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs provide guidance on best practices and help solve problems related to system performance integrations and customization. Additionally they may work with development and product teams to escalate complex issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of the solution.

This is an exciting opportunity to support current and future NATO software solutions for Joint Command and Control capabilities. More specifically in Joint Targeting Joint Fires Joint Tactical Chat areas. The main objective is to ensure and improve reliability resiliency and effectiveness of the software solutions as well as providing essential support and service to the NATO operational community.

Solution Support Engineer Joint Command and Control (C2)

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

• A minimum requirement of a Bachelors degree at a nationally recognised/certified university in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidates particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency that is at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
• Experience with diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to software hardware and integrations.
• Proficiency in debugging log analysis and identifying root causes of problems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g.: AWS Azure Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of APIs and basic integration techniques.
• Ability to manage or contribute to support projects track issue resolutions and communicate with different teams to ensure a smooth resolution process.
• Experience in a customer-facing role such as technical support customer service or help desk.

Desirable Experience:

• Understanding of military (functional) business processes and experience in working with military operational personnel;
• Experience of Command-and-Control concepts processes and tools;
• Knowledge of security assurance requirements for military information systems;
• Experience with application software interoperability implementation validation verification and accreditation;
• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
