Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Temple University Barnett College of Public Health Department of Nursing invites applications for multiple non-tenure track appointments to teach in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and/or Doctor of Nursing Practice Programs. These academic year (9 month) positions are at the rank of Clinical Instructor Instructor or Assistant Professor of Instruction with rank and track dependent upon qualifications and experience. Chosen candidates would begin in time to teach in the Fall 2026 semester.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibilities of instructional faculty are to ensure the academic and clinical teaching according to the nursing department the Barnett College of Public Health (BCPH) and Temple University policies. These individuals will work in collaboration with the Nursing department leadership team to ensure smooth running of assigned courses. Additional programmatic duties may be assigned by the Department Chair. The Nursing faculty will be assigned to the Nursing Department as a full-time core faculty member with administrative responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the academic nursing programs. They will be evaluated annually by the department Chairperson.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To be considered for a clinical instructor or instructor position the candidate must possess a masters degree hold a Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania or multistate RN licensure in another state and have no less than three years of clinical practice experience as an RN. Candidates wishing to be considered for teaching in our DNP program must also possess a doctoral degree in nursing national certification as a Nurse Practitioner and eligibility for a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) license in Pennsylvania and clinical practice experience as a Nurse Practitioner We are looking for faculty with enthusiasm and interest in teaching who want to invest in the future of the next generation of nurses.
