Under direct supervision perform general preventative maintenance and simple repairs on manufacturing machines and mechanical equipment.

Performs basic maintenance service and repairs. Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment. Assists in diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them checking blueprints repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary. Inspects drives motors and belts checks fluid levels replaces filters or performs other maintenance actions following checklists. May assist with inspecting operating and testing machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires 0-1 years related experience.

Basic knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance. Basic knowledge of design techniques tools blueprints drawings and models. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems. Must be able move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Compensation:This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $25.40/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market and the skills education experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
