Environmental Technologist

Department: North of 60 (N60) Monitoring

Were looking for Environmental Technologists to support our growing this hands-on field-based role you will support environmental site assessments industrial hygiene monitoring spill response and remediation projects while ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance across diverse project environments.
What Youll Do
- Conduct industrial hygiene air monitoring wildlife monitoring spill response and support site remediation activities
- Complete Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Hazardous Building Material Assessments
- Collect soil groundwater surface water air hazardous waste and building material samples in accordance with jurisdictional requirements
- Coordinate logistics laboratory requisitions subcontractors and transportation to ensure timely project execution
- Prepare daily field reports technical summaries compliance documentation and ensure waste tracking from acceptance to final disposal
Who You Are
- University degree or college diploma in Environmental Sciences or a related discipline
- Experience in environmental site assessment and remediation including sampling interpretation and reporting
- Industrial hygiene experience (lead-based paint asbestos mould) considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in remote environments
- Effective communicator who can engage with clients regulators and First Nations stakeholders
- Adaptable organized and able to manage time and budget constraints in dynamic field settings
What You Need
- Knowledge of soil water and air sampling methodologies and applicable regulatory frameworks
- Experience supporting compliance sampling and reporting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Experience using vapour screeners (RKI Eagle 2 or similar) Trimble GeoXH GPS and low-flow groundwater sampling equipment (peristaltic and bladder pumps)
- Ability to travel to remote project locations
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 100 lbs and working in varying weather conditions
- First Aid and WHMIS/TDG certification (training provided if required)
