The Paramedic must possess and apply skills necessary to perform the duties of a Paramedic in accordance with all applicable laws regulations and County protocols and operational policies in a dignified and compassionate manner including:
- Respond to emergency and non-emergencies and deliver patient care support and evaluation in a pre-hospital setting such as on the scene and during transport to emergency facility calmly efficiently and effectively
- Operate an emergency medical vehicle
- Examine and evaluate patient to determine the right course of treatment
- Provide patient with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
- Document patient information condition and treatment
- Complete patient care information using IMAGE TREND software insurance forms evaluation forms and all other forms in a competent and timely fashion
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
- Required to communicate professionally with medical personnel staff at emergency facilities to obtain instructions regarding further treatment and/or to arrange reception of patients to the appropriate center
- The Paramedic has primary responsibility for the operation of the unit to which assigned
The Paramedic must perform routine tasks in and around the ambulance service building including:
- Responsible to maintain daily cleaning schedules of the Union County Ambulance Service living quarters.
- Responsible to maintain daily cleaning of assigned ambulance.
Qualifications :
Valid Illinois drivers license
Current Illinois or Nationally Registered Paramedic Certification/License
Successfully complete employment screening

Work Schedule is 24 hours on shift and 48 hours off
$18.62 per hour
