UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the areas clinics are improving outcomes lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being.
- Schedule created in six-week blocks
- NP will work 23 shifts per block
- Rounding shifts cross cover shifts and swing shifts
- Coverage provided at Methodist Methodist West and Lutheran hospitals
- Established three campus team serving the Des Moines community
- Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy
- Experienced staff both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities
- Average of 12-15 patients per day
- NP will practice autonomously and carry their own panel of patients
- No procedures and no codes
- Patient-focused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Board Certified
- Experience preferred
- Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of State
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States
