Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Entry Control in Lakeland FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location you will greet drivers and visitors verify credentials manage entry and exit and track activity using site systems. You will stay visible at key checkpoints communicate clearly with warehouse teams and help to deter security-related incidents through consistent procedures. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control entry and exit at gates guard shacks and/or lobbies by checking identification verifying appointments issuing visitor credentials and directing drivers and guests to the correct dock or office area.
- Monitor inbound and outbound truck traffic by coordinating with receiving and shipping teams confirming load documentation as required and reporting irregularities per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications documenting events and assisting with traffic control during disruptions.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of parking areas dock lanes staging areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and identify maintenance access and/or procedural concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
