Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide safe and fun activities for the Summer Playground Program. This is accomplished by training supervising and evaluating seasonal staff; coordinating planning and developing summer parks and playgrounds. Oversee all summer camp locations at least twice per day to keep Directors on schedule and access needs. Provide each camp with needed supplies. Precipitate in activities with the campers. Communicate with staff daily meet with parents or guardians when needed. Effectively enforce all City of York Policies and procedures. Meet with Director/Aides to discuss any violations and issue a statement of understanding. Keep in contact with Recreation Specialist for any needs or incidents. Attend weekly meeting with Directors and Recreation Specialist weekly.

Keep in contact with Recreation Specialist for any needs or incidents. Attend weekly meeting with Directors and Recreation Specialist weekly.
Transport campers and camp staff to various locations
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Acceptable Training and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three years working in camp environment or with youth
Valid Pennsylvania Drivers License
Hiring Prerequisites:
Drug screening testing with negative results
Background Report
You must provide the following:
PA Child Abuse History Clearance
PA State Police Criminal Record History
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Fingerprint-based Background Check
