Were looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our London this role you will lead the design strategy for critical product areas influencing the long-term vision of our platform and driving architectural improvements that ripple across the entire Deliveroo ecosystem.
What Youll Be Doing
Youll be joining the Studio team. While your primary focus will be dedicated to the Deliveroo product you will be part of a global design community that includes talented designers from Deliveroo Wolt and DoorDash. At the Staff level you will play a pivotal role in this community mentoring senior talent cross-pollinating best practices and setting the standard for design excellence globally.
Heres what your day-to-day might look like:
Define the product design strategy for high-level ambiguous business challenges ensuring alignment between user needs and long-term commercial goals.
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to drive architectural decisions and platform-wide design standards.
Champion a culture of design excellence by mentoring senior designers and fostering high-quality craft across the organisation.
Identify and tackle systemic design opportunities that improve performance accessibility and user satisfaction at scale.
Act as a bridge between functions using your influence to align cross-functional teams around a unified product vision.
What Youll Need to Thrive
Extensive experience leading complex design initiatives from conception to launch within large-scale high-growth environments.
Proven ability to define and drive design strategy successfully managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Demonstrated track record of mentoring designers and elevating the quality of work within high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex design visions and influence senior leadership.
Deep technical fluency and a strategic understanding of how design influences engineering constraints and product outcomes.
