About the role
As a Financial Crime Analyst youll monitor customer activity investigate unusual behaviour and support our compliance with AML/CTF obligations. Youll work closely with the Financial Crime team using your judgement and analytical skills to identify risk respond to alerts and support fraud and financial crime investigations.
Your work will help protect vulnerable customers reduce harm and strengthen trust both within our bank and across our community.
What youll be doing
In this role you will:
- Monitor transactions and evaluate risk using our internal systems
- Investigate suspicious behaviours and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support fraud case management and maintain accurate registers
- Conduct enhanced due diligence including sanctions offboarding and alert review
- Prepare clear accurate reports for internal stakeholders and external bodies
- Respond to legal requests including search warrants with professionalism and care
- Complete ReKYC reviews and ensure identity source of wealth and source of income requirements are met
- Contact customers for reverification with empathy clarity and sensitivity
- Maintain awareness of endtoend monitoring processes and adapt during regulatory or internal changes
What youll bring
- Experience in banking finance or a related environment
- An understanding of AML/CTF privacy and financial crime legislation
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data
- Excellent communication and the ability to engage customers professionally
- A proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement
- A commitment to accuracy compliance and doing whats right
Specialised certificates or financial crime/AML training are welcomed but not essential well support your professional growth.
