About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Yard Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout our manufacturing and recycling facility. This role is essential to ensuring a safe clean and organized working environment. The Yard Custodian will perform routine cleaning waste removal and basic facility upkeep in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate is proactive safety-conscious and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:

- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping mopping and scrubbing floors in production areas break rooms locker rooms restrooms and office spaces.
- Collect and properly dispose of recycling materials production waste and general trash in accordance with facility protocols.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms locker rooms and break rooms; replenish supplies such as soap paper towels and toilet paper.
- Conduct general warehouse and equipment cleanup at the end of each shift.
- Ensure the safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals tools and equipment.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and completing minor repairs.
- Follow all company health safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance concerns hazards or safety issues promptly to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in preparing the facility for inspections or audits by maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Support facility shutdowns or deep-cleaning operations as required.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support overall facility operations.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous janitorial housekeeping or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
- Familiarity with required PPE including hard hat reflective vest steel-toe boots ear and eye protection and utility gloves.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to work independently and follow written/verbal instructions.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Normal work environment is a recycling plant with exposure to all weather conditions dirt high levels of noise smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions including PPE.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
