About the Role
As an SQM Manager you will lead and develop the site Supplier Quality Management team to ensure supplier performance consistently meets company and customer requirements. You will play a critical role in driving supplier quality excellence for Backend (BE) BOM materials and wafers strengthening quality systems and building strong supplier partnerships to support business growth and operational excellence.
What You Will Do
Lead and develop the site SQM team to drive supplier quality performance and continuous improvement.
Establish implement and enhance supplier quality management systems for BE BOM materials and wafers.
Plan and conduct supplier audits assessments and qualification activities (ISO 9001 IATF 16949 VDA 6.3 where applicable).
Drive supplier quality issue resolution including defect analysis root cause investigation and corrective/preventive actions using 8D RCA and FMEA methodologies.
Monitor and improve supplier KPIs such as quality incidents PPM yield performance and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
Manage supplier change control processes including ECN material changes process changes and re-qualification activities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing R&D Manufacturing and Customer Quality teams to ensure stable and high-performing supplier operations.
Support new supplier development material qualification and supplier risk management initiatives.
Prepare and present supplier quality reports dashboards and improvement plans to management.
Support customer audits internal audits and certification/regulatory audits as required.
Travel to supplier sites when necessary to ensure effective quality management and development.
What You Will Need
Bachelors degree in Engineering Materials Science Electronics or a related field.
812 years of experience in Quality or Supplier Quality with at least 23 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong hands-on experience in supplier audits quality system assessments and supplier development.
Solid knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3.
VDA 6.3 certification is an added advantage.
Proficiency in core quality tools: 8D FMEA SPC MSA APQP and PPAP.
Strong analytical problem-solving and supplier negotiation skills.
Effective leadership communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Willingness and ability to travel to supplier sites as required.
