About the Role
As Teacher of Science (Biology) you will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 with a strong focus on Biology. There may be opportunities to contribute to A-Level Biology depending on experience and timetable.
You will deliver well-structured lessons that build secure scientific knowledge and develop key skills including:
Understanding core Biology concepts (cells genetics ecology evolution homeostasis)
Developing investigative thinking through practical work and enquiry
Strengthening data handling evaluation and application of knowledge
Building exam confidence through modelling deliberate practice and precise feedback
Lessons are planned to be challenging engaging and accessiblesupporting students with different starting points including those who require additional scaffolding and those ready for stretch and challenge.

Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
Have strong subject knowledge in Biology (and confidence teaching general Science)

Use assessment effectively to secure progress and close gaps
Build positive relationships and maintain a calm purposeful classroom culture
Work collaboratively within a supportive Science team
