Job Summary
A forward-thinking and ambitious secondary school in Bristol is seeking a talented Science Teacher to join its successful department from April with a TLR available for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Science teacher looking to take on additional responsibility or for a strong practitioner ready to step into a leadership role within a supportive and well-structured department.
About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3 & KS4 with the opportunity to deliver a specialist subject at KS5 depending on experience.
Alongside teaching responsibilities the successful candidate will take on a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) which may involve curriculum development supporting departmental leadership mentoring staff or leading a key area within the Science faculty.
The role will involve:
Delivering engaging and challenging Science lessons
Supporting high standards of teaching and learning across the department
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
Monitoring student progress and supporting strong academic outcomes
Supporting colleagues and contributing to departmental leadership initiatives

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge in Science
Ability to teach Science across KS3 & KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Experience or readiness to take on additional leadership responsibility
A proactive and collaborative approach
