About the Role
As Teacher of Religious Education you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and timetable. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops:
Strong knowledge of key religious beliefs practices and traditions
Ethical reasoning philosophical enquiry and respectful discussion
Analytical thinking and evaluation through structured argument and evidence
Extended writing skills and exam confidence through modelling practice and feedback
Students explore a range of topics including world religions moral and ethical issues and philosophical questions. Lessons are designed to encourage discussion and debate while maintaining clear structure and high academic expectations.
You will support learners with a range of starting points using effective scaffolding where needed while providing stretch and challenge for high attainers.

Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
Have strong subject knowledge in Religious Education

Use assessment effectively to identify gaps and secure progress
Build positive relationships and maintain a calm purposeful classroom culture
