About the Computing Department:
The Computing Department comprises a dedicated team of experienced specialists passionate about teaching and learning. Collaboration and professional growth are highly valued within the department and teachers are encouraged to share ideas develop resources and innovate in the classroom. The department benefits from state-of-the-art IT suites coding labs and access to digital tools that support both theoretical and practical learning.
Responsibilities:
Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of KS5 (A-Level).
Develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons using a variety of teaching strategies.
Assess and monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental innovation.
Support co-curricular activities such as coding clubs robotics or competitions.
Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives aimed at enhancing student learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
PGCE or QTS.
Experience working as a Computing Teacher in a secondary school including PGCE placements.
ECTs are encouraged to apply.
Passion for technology problem-solving and inspiring students in Computer Science.
