Job Summary
Position: Senior Technical Engineer / Officer
Location: Pickering ON (2 days remote)
Structure: Contract 12 months to start
Pay:$70.00 - $78.00 p/h inc. HST

Deliverables
- Provide technical support for emergency response and fire protection programs including evaluations investigations and coordination of technical work related to facility operation and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain documentation reports procedures and compliance records supporting emergency response readiness and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct fire hazard assessments risk evaluations and response planning while ensuring fire protection systems equipment and procedures meet regulatory and licensing standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external emergency response organizations to support fire protection initiatives compliance activities and continuous improvement of emergency response protocols.
Experience Required
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education with knowledge of fire protection systems facility operations and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience working with fire protection standards and regulatory frameworks such as Canadian Standards Association codes CSA N293 and CSA N393 along with national fire and building codes.
- Experience supporting fire hazard assessments fire safe shutdown analysis or emergency response planning in regulated industrial environments.
- Strong experience preparing technical documentation reports and compliance records related to safety engineering or regulatory programs.
- Strong communication analytical and stakeholder coordination skills with fire response or emergency services experience considered an asset.
