St Vincents Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) is a facility of St Vincents Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across four sites at Fitzroy East Melbourne Kew and Werribee.
Our department conducts inpatient sleep studies for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders including but not limited to sleep apnoea restless legs parasomnias insomnia and narcolepsy. Our sleep study service currently operates up to 5 beds running 5 nights per week.
We are seeking flexible motivated dependable and friendly staff to work on a casual basis for the evening set-up (1830-2330) and overnight shifts (2100-630 or 2315-730) or on permanent part time basis.
Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to);
- Setting up 3 patients attending for an overnight sleep study according to laboratory procedures
- Monitoring 3 patients during their overnight sleep study according to laboratory procedures and achieving/maintaining recordings of excellent quality
- Educating patients about CPAP treatment where needed including fitting of masks
- Completing relevant paperwork and on-line documentation for each patient as per laboratory procedures
The successful candidate will have;
- Completion of relevant tertiary study
- Familiarity of instrumentation
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent people skills
