Job Summary
Iowa City Landscaping is seeking a full-time skilled grower/lot manager to join our team at our Herbert Hoover Hwy location. You will be responsible for the healthcare and maintenance of our nursery production trees shrubs and perennials.
Oversees watering and nutritional management of plant material.
Integrated Pest Management. Identify and manage pests and diseases monitor plant health and implement control strategies.
Trim plants to manage growth.
Unload and sort plant material.
Unload materials for our installation teams.
Keep the lot mowed and well maintained.
Supervise workers to complete tasks.
We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:
- Experience or strong knowledge of horticultural practices in a nursery setting farming or gardening.
- Supervisory skills or the ability to lead a team of workers.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivation.
What will make you stand out
- Familiarity with nursery operations and maintenance
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Pesticide Applicator Certification or willing to attain certification.
- Equipment operator experience- Skid steers lawn mower tractor Gator.
