What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and requests for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors entrances and exits parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter theft vandalism and other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior policy violations and/or hazards documenting observations and completing detailed incident and shift reports.
• Communicate professionally with store associates customers and local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required supporting investigations and maintaining a visible presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
