UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the areas clinics are improving outcomes lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being.
- MondayThursday 8:00 AM5:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM12:00 PM
- Outpatient-focused position with integrated telehealth components
- Join a collaborative multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists advanced practice providers and therapists
- Access to advanced treatment options including TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and injection services
- Strong partnerships with community mental health resources to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Fully integrated Epic EMR across clinics and hospitals for seamless care coordination
Responsibilities
Outpatient-focused role with integrated telehealth components
Average caseload of 1824 patients per day
Provide psychiatric care across the lifespan with a diverse patient mix
Call rotation 1:7 phone-based only
Conduct comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluations for new patients
Provide follow-up treatment and medication management for existing patients
Partner with physicians social workers nurses and other professionals to coordinate individualized treatment plans
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
