Senior Mechanical Engineer (10+ years)

We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Mechanical Engineer with 10 years of experience.

The successful individual will have an interest in the design and project management of projects for HVAC piping and plumbing systems for hospitals commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

In addition the individual should be comfortable consulting to architectural practices and have a desire to work on a multi-discipline engineering team. The individual will be expected to demonstrate ability to be a technical lead within a dynamic team of mechanical engineers and will report to the mechanical discipline manager.

Qualifications :

• BS in Mechanical engineering or related field
• PE license in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Project Management experience and/or certifications
• Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of applicable codes: mechanical energy plumbing
• Excellent leadership supervisory and writing and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with both HVAC and Plumbing systems
• Experience with energy modeling software (EnergyPro etc.)

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Must be a self-starter who is able to see the big picture and connect the vision of the company with his/her job be persistent and follow through in a consistent manner.
• Passionate about the client or pursuit and takes ownership of his/her work.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Possess strong critical thinking organizational and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and Adobe InDesign software preferred. Must understand database concepts. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files.
• General knowledge of firms practice clientele goals policies and procedures.
• Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures and basic marketing principles.
• Able to work independently as a team member and as a team leader.
• Strong organizational ability; detail oriented; high degree of accuracy.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals culture and morale.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Approximate Base Salary 125k-160k based on experience

• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
• Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution
