Your Team:
The Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services (OENS) lead the agencys effort to work closely with other HPD divisions and outside community partners to identify buildings in distress assess and develop appropriate strategies to address those properties and work closely with responsible owners to develop a plan to improve conditions and return buildings to firm financial footing and physical health. OENS uses enforcement tools within its Division of Code Enforcement Housing Litigation Division Emergency Operations and Enhanced Enforcement and the Division of Neighborhood Preservation to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
The Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services is composed of seven divisions: Data Management & Technology (DMT) Division of Neighborhood Preservation (DNP) Administration & Internal Compliance (AIC) Housing Litigation Division (HLD) Division of Code Enforcement (DCE) and Emergency Operations and Enhanced Enforcement Division (EOEED) and Division of Emergency Housing Services (EHS).
Your Impact:
The Emergency Operations and Enhanced Enforcement Division (EOEED) is responsible for emergency repairs in privately-owned residential buildings and for monitoring vendor repair work in City-owned buildings. The primary goal of the division is to secure voluntary corrective action by the landlord to eliminate the need for direct City involvement.
Your Role:
As the Community Coordinator/ Vendor Tracking Supervisor in the Environmental Hazardous Unit (EHU) and reporting directly to Deputy Director and Director of the Environmental Hazards Unit (EHU). The selected candidate responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Your Responsibilities:
-Supervise a team of Admin staff and provide procedural guidelines & Coordinate to implement work order commencement with respective Vendors in a timely manner.
-OMO Monitoring & Tracking while in work progress and are Field routed till work completion.
-Facilitate & Coordinate with program Tech Supervisors HPD Contractors dwelling occupants etc and seek resolution of discrepancies as needed.
-Ensure Lead Mold abatement reports & other related documentations from vendors & lead hazard investigation / chain of Custody reports are archived in HPDINFO per agency protocols.
-Supervise & Coordinate with Dust wipe unit for timely receipt of DW results so as to notify vendors for any Dust wipe failures cleaning in a timely manner
-Facilitate to archive hard copy of work Completed OMO Documents per agency guidelines
-Exercise Cross functional support within agency; DOHMH and other outside entities as required per Unit needs
-Ensure all referral Communications such as Vendor submission of LL refusal affidavits for litigation & Court order work orders are executed timely and archived properly.
-Prepare weekly OMO work order status reports for Directors review.
Your Responsibilities:
-Familiarity with HPD INFO.
-Experience with the development of standard operating procedures.
-Knowledge of NYC construction permitting requirements.
-Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
-Excellent communication organization and data analysis skills.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
