The Role
As ECT MFL Teacher (French/Spanish) you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 delivering engaging lessons that build students confidence in communication and their curiosity about language and culture. The curriculum is designed to develop:
Strong listening and speaking confidence through structured practice
Reading and translation skills using a wide range of texts
Extended writing through modelling scaffolding and repeated practice
Secure grammar and vocabulary through explicit teaching and regular retrieval
Students learn French and/or Spanish through topics that connect language to real life such as identity and relationships school and future plans leisure travel and holidays media social issues and cultural traditions. Lessons follow clear routines that support accuracy and fluency with a focus on helping students speak with confidence and write with increasing sophistication.
You will be supported to plan effectively assess learning consistently and build a positive classroom culture where students feel comfortable having a go with new language.
